The "ivory white" center diamonds, and Natural Pink Diamonds running down the shank Center Diamond We scour the secondary market to find desirable antique diamonds. In this case, a transitional cut- GIA calls it "Circular Brilliant" The facets are large - giving us large, brught flashes of refelcted light. They are sometimes lovingly reffered to as "Chunky facets" The stone has a little biy of body color- GIA graded it L. It doesn't really come across as yellow, more like softer, antuque white. The diamond is not perfectly symmetrical, which really takes nothing away from the beauty- GIA noted this in it's "fiar" symmetry grade. Of course thier job is a clinical one. Some of the most lovely things are not exacly syymetrical When we found the stone, it was showing wear from its' age- we had an expert cutter bring the stone back to "brandy new" condition" The ring is beautifully finished- so nice to the touch.
