More details about the center stone We purchased a parcel of "almost" fancy colored diamonds. Some were at the lower end of the alphabet (U-V, W-X, Y-Z) - some were, like this guy - almost white. The stone looked white next to all the light yellow diamonds. In fact, it still looks pretty white when I put it on my finger just now. I love the cut. GIA classified it as "Pear Brilliant" which means it has large facets on the bottom - larger in the middle than the tips. This is part and parcel of a pear shape. The pictures make the stone look as if it has somewhat of a "bowtie" but in person, the areas that look dark in the pictures are actually quite bright as the stone moves. Eye clean VS2.
